If your stove has a dial control, then YES your control board has a USB port. Simply remove the side cover, and locate your control board. It will have a USB port just like the photo on the left.
No. These thermostats require power from the heating source (24 volts) for operation. The Pellet Miser can not be connected to any thermostat that is powered by any other heating system or external adapter. This includes NEST, LUX, ECO and others. These types of thermostats are NOT millivolt compatible.
No. The Pellet Miser only simulates turning the dial control to the high setting. None of the factory programming or safety settings are changed. Simply turning off your thermostat returns your stove to its normal operation.
Yes! One of the greatest benefits of the Pellet Miser is being able to keep your garage or shop just above freezing, instead of the factory ‘LOW’ setting (which is about 65 degrees). Simply set your wall thermostat down to its minimum, and the Pellet Miser does the rest. Some thermostats will allow a low setting of 38 degrees. Any low-cost programmable seven day millivolt thermostat would be our choice. We've had plenty of positive feedback about the Honeywell RTH2300B, RTH221B, and RTH230B. These are available at Walmart and other retailers for about $20-30 dollars. Many other brands and models will work*
